A graduate from B.Sc Zoology (Hons), cinema drew her towards professional film making where she further honed her skills at AAFT, Noida.
Currently a director at Aftab Pictures Pvt Ltd, Julee's spectacular debut in feature length films brought her more than 30 awards at international film festivals, including Jaipur International Film Festival, Mumbai's ICFF-24, and the Global Independent Film Festival in Kolkata, to mention a few. Julee happens to cross her path of success with mentorship from the veteran producer Salim Akhtar, the man who gave Bollywood stars Rani Mukherjee and Tamanna Bhatia their first breaks. It was under his wings that she embraced film and turned her childhood dreams into a celebrated reality. After his death, she continued with her path-breaking work going, thus keeping his memory alive.
