Dr. Sumira Malik is currently working as Assistant Professor in Amity institute of biotechnology, Amity university, Ranchi, Jharkhand. She has total experience of 07 years, with 05 years of teaching and experience with consistent 07 years of research experience including research with undergraduates and postgraduate students of Bachelors, Masters and Btech students in microbiology, biotechnology, biological sciences and agricultural science. She has completed her Ph.D. at chonnam national university, Gwangju, south Korea and worked intensively as research fellow and pursued postdoctoral studies from lab of stem cell biology, Hormone research centre, Chonnam national university, south korea. Her masters program has been completed in microbiology as major from cancer hospital and research institute, Jiwaji university, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. She had published 31 Papers in SCI, Peer-Reviewed International, UGC approved and NAAS rated journals including 50 papers in National & International Conferences as proceedings. She is a Life Member in various Professional Societies and reviewer in many international and NAAS rated journals. She has received four awards for research excellence and one award for young scientist award from various societies for recognition of her research work. She has organized a National Conference on climate change , contributed as event coordinator workshops on agribusiness funded by AICTE and hand on training on biotechnology for agriculture students. She has also served as research coordinator and department academics coordinator. She has filed two patents and a interdisciplinary book published. She has a funded project based on agriculture microbiology and biotechnology from government of uttarakhand as Principal investigator. She participated in FDPs for the complete skills based professional and personal development of students. Her only motive is contribution in academic society by mentoring her students through the inculcation of basic knowledge, technical skills, independent research based reasoning and development of moral values, so they can serve as professionally and personally responsible citizens of this country.
