Hi my name is Dr Reshma Jhaveri, am a 45 year old resident of Mumbai! Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.. being from a non medical background I took up the challenge to pursue medicine and now am a practising ophthalmologist for the past 16 years . I have 2 wonderful children and an extremely supportive paediatrician husband with who I am married for 19 years. Being an extrovert I love making new friends,never give up dancing which is my passion and keep motivating myself to do new things ! From leading the Maharashtra woman’s ophthalmic society to working hand in hand with Rotary I believe in putting my best everyday as there is nothing like failure ! You either win or you learn. I am an eye surgeon practising for the last 16 years in my field
i am specialist in cataract , Lasik , glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy
I have carried out more than 1500 eye surgeries and am extensively into Awareness programme
I am attached with Nanavati hospital, Criticare hospital And have my private set up as well in juhu mumbai
i am attached with Rotary inner wheel of mumbai west and have done many eye camps and free eye surgeries including cornea transplants
I have studied from Somaiya medical college, for MBBS, KEM hospital and GS medical college for ophthalmology and did superspecialisation in glaucoma at Aravind hospital Madurai.
I have given multiple national and international talks on many ophthalmic platforms and now a speaker on zoom meetings for training junior ophthalmologist.
Cataract and Glaucoma Awareness
i am at present working hand in hand with Rotary club of Bombay west for treating patients who are underprivileged and operate them for cataract surgery. And attend eye camps for free for the check ups and awareness programme
