Over the years, she has served as a teacher and principal in several Army Public Schools and prestigious civil institutions, including GD Goenka, Aligarh. Her deep empathy for animals led her to establish the INDIE RTR Rescue Treatment Release Centre at Salbari, Siliguri, where she rescues, treats, and rehabilitates sick and injured street animals. She feeds over 80 animals daily and has vaccinated more than 300 dogs under her “Rabies Free Society” initiative.
