Smt Sangeetha. k is having a qualification of Master of fine arts and presently working as art teacher in Government high school, G.B.Sargur, H.D.kote taluk, Mysore district, karnataka. Smt Sangeetha. K is on a mission to popularize folk art form, which is on the verge of extinction,by introducing the ancient folk form to the new genaration. Here the students have been preparing leather puppet by themself and they are experts in preparing the canvas out of goat skin & drawing on the leather, Colouring and also there are trained to perform the puppet show by singing and playing the puppet behind the screen. Here the students have performed the art shows in many parts of Karnataka and have got appreciation from everyone. These rural kids are very talented and also have won many prizes in state, district and taluk events conducted in art and craft feild organized by Government and private sectors. Apart from teaching ,Smt Sangeetha.k have personally actively participated in various art camps and also have conducted various solo & group painting exhibitions in National, state, district events of Government and private sectors. Smt Sangeetha.k have won many award in art feild: 1: 2020 District Best teacher award , by department of public instruction, Government of Karnataka. 2: 2020 Seva bhushan an state award in the feild of art and craft, on the eve of 100 yrs birth celebration of Nalwadi Krishna Raja wodeyar. 3: 2018 award for painting , org by kssbt and ksswf dept of public instruction, Government of Karnataka. 4: 2017 award for painting, org by Karnataka Renewable energy development Ltd, Government of Karnataka. 5: 2016 Honored by City central library on the eve of Granthalay divas, Mysore, Karnataka. 6: 2008 Best teacher award, Akhilabharathi nagrik vikas kendra, Aurangabad 7: 2007 Best teacher award, Student development society, Pune 8: 2005 Dasara lalithakala award , Mysore, Government of Karnataka. 9: 2004 Acharya kala puraskar, Rajamundri, Andra Pradesh.
