My qualification is MBA (Finance) , B.E.(Electrical) and I am doing Ph.D in Management. I have also written 3 No. of research papers which are published in reputed SCOPUS Indexed International Journals. I am an active member of Lions Club Rayya Beas Knights (108863) Distt.321-D from June-2008. Presently i am working on the portfolio of President and Distt.Chairperson Sevices Projects. I am the charter President of the club. District Amritsar Administration honoured me thrice on Independance Day and Republic day Functions with Commendation Certificates and beautiful trophies . Election Commission of Punjab honored with "Letter of Appericiation" thrice in elections held in last years. Dainik Jagran Group of newspaper publication also sent "Appericiation Lletter" for me.
From 26-03-2020 till now. I motivate all the lions members to guide the local residents and help the needy people in lockdown period. In the first instance We decided to distribute daily useable items including ration to the needy people. We jointly collected Rs 30000/- and started the project under slogan "FOOD FOR HUNGER". Each kit contains Wheat Flour -5 Kg, Rice-2 Kg, Sugar-2 Kg, Tea-250 gms, Ghee-500 gms, Dals -4 kg, Soyabean-500 gms. Washing soap-2 Pieces, Bathing Soap- 2 Pieces, Potatoes-2 kg. Onions- 2Kg and Dry milk-200gms. which costs Rs -900/-. Till now We distributed 2780 Kits till 06-06-2020 which costs nearly Rs 2502000/- and this project is in continuous mode till now. We distributed 20 PPE Kits to Deputy Commissionor Tarntaran , 10 PPE kits to Senior Medical Officer Civil Hospital Mian wind , 10 PPE kits to Senior Medical Officer Baba Bakala and 10 PPE KIts to the Temporary Quarentine Centres in Baba Bakala Subdivision. Sanitizers and Masks were also distributed to the needy people.We also provide financial help to the needy patients and organized Blood Donation Camps in Sri Guru Ramdas Hospital Verka Amritsar for the Thellasemia Kids patients which is the acute requirement of the hour. We also provide financial help to the migrated labours and the team registered their names to the District Administration Amritsar for returning to their home .Eatables and drink packets were also distributed to the migrated labours families. It is mentioned here that till now Rs 26.15 Lakhs costing projects done during COVID-19. Sub Divisional Megistrate Baba Bakala, Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar Baba Bakala also appericiated the effort done during COVID-19.
There is a acute shortage of blood needed to the Thellasemia kids patients. To cope up the requirement, I organized mega blood donation camp in which 70 blood units are collected bybthe team of Sri Guru Ramdas Hospital Amritsar. Executive Megistrate Baba Bakala Sh. Sukhdev Kumar was also present in the camp. The donors and the local residents are adviced for the awareness of the people about COVID-19. Free masks n senitizers are also distributed to the blood donors
