My name is Shikha Rama Singh. I m a resident of Ambernath, Maharashtra. Youngistan Foundation has worked for many important causes. Youngistan Foundation is an NGO started by some Youths and mid aged members of Kalyan-Dombivli, Ambernath, Badlapur, Ulhasnagar, Vitthalwadi, many are from different states such as Hyderabad, Bengal, Bihar, Mumbai, Delhi etc in which majority of members were NSS volunteers and leaders of some college under Mumbai University. We all are actively working for society since 2011 with support of our team. In 2018 we decided to form NGO recognized as 'Youngistan Foundation' having tagline ‘Voice of Young Hindustan'.
Our team vision includes serving society by Blood donation camp, Swacchta Abhiyaan, Education & Awareness, Wall painting for Cleanliness awareness, Share the Warmth, Door to Door campaign for Waste Management, Distribution of Food and Cloths. We donate 100+ Blood units every 3 month to contribute for reducing blood scarcity at the blood banks.We initially started with "SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAAN" carried out various campaigns in Kalyan. Also we continuously work on field for betterment of the society.
Under Let's Fight Against Hunger, under which we distribute the surplus food left in the wedding, function, hotel to the needy people. Under the Sharing Is Caring campaign, we collect new and old clothes from people's homes and distributing them in slums. During Corona Crisis our team has distributed ration to many needy families and also initiated open kitchen named as "Yuva Rasoi". This kitchen served around 500 people daily. We served cooked food to 50,000+ needy people and GROCERY KITS to 1200+ families and still working with help of our helpline no. (7021211400). We go to the slum basti and distribute free sanitary pads to the underprivileged women and girls. Along with making women feel special about them, i also believe in educating them about the necessity of using sanitary pads. We also started literacy campaign under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign. We are also working on Education and Skill Development for the children as every child need to be educated for right development and brighter future. I am also an animal lover, I rescue and takes care of abandoned pets, especially stray animals that are found to be victims of accidents or have been thrown away in a very shameful manner. I encourage everyone to be an animal lover.
I believe in teamwork as IT’S IMPROTANT TO BE TOGETHER WHEN WE NEED EACHOTHER AS HOPE GIVES THE STRENGTH.
I also belive that every problem has a solution, we just have to look at things with a different perspective, we should always try to learn new things. To bring a change in the society, one should start it by bringing a change in ownself because any change should first start with self development.
