Mr. S. Shantha Kumar was born on February 18, 1976 at Kodumudi, Erode District in Tamil Nadu. He takes an immense interest in environment-related issues and is a social activist and entrepreneur. With formal degrees in engineering and commerce, he has put in tremendous amount of efforts toward environmental conservation by means of massive campaigns on tree plantation and creation of eco-education centers. S. Shantha Kumar, born to a family with agrarian roots, is the son of Mr. I.K. Subramaniam, a farmer and industrialist, and Late Mrs. S. Janaki. From then, his learning history includes schooling at C.M.S. Matriculation Higher Secondary School and C.S.I. Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore. He also did a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at C.I.T. Sandwich Polytechnic, besides managing advanced studies in computer programming, export management, and a Master's degree in Commerce from Madurai Kamaraj University.

He was a sportsman during his school and college days, winning many awards in football, cricket, athletics, and NCC activities. From a sportsman to a well-known environmentalist and entrepreneur, his history is that of unending commitment to social causes.

He heads several ventures such as Shree Shakthi Industries, Shree Shakthi Loomz, Shree Shakthi Electronics, previously worked as a DVD contractor for TNSTC buses. His heart was always in nature, and it withheld him from starting the Shree Shakthi Environmental Center in 2022, which sprawls over 22 acres with more than 18,000 trees of 250+ varieties.

Mr. Kumar's constant work in agroforestry, park development, and environmental training has made him a popular figure among students, farmers, IT professionals, and government officials.

Besides, he is an entrepreneur who has contributed significantly to CODISSIA (Coimbatore District Small Industries Association), supporting the association through various trade fairs, infrastructure development projects, flood relief activities, and skills development programs. His dedication reaches yet another height when he facilitated free vaccinations for 18,000 people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
