Born in a small village, Narhi Diyara, in Sahibganj district, Priya Bharti’s story is one of passion, persistence, and purpose. Her mother, a teacher, and father, a doctor, were posted in remote areas, which led her to spend her schooling years in boarding at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sahibganj. In a world without mobile phones or distractions, she found her world in the library diving deep into stories, novels, and plays that shaped her imagination and love for literature. Though she initially studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in 12th and even prepared for medical exams for two years, Priya soon realized her true calling was not medicine but literature. She followed her passion and pursued a degree in Hindi Literature from Banaras Hindu University (Women’s College), where she began writing poetry and articles that resonated deeply with readers. Her first poem published in the college magazine brought her recognition and confidence to continue writing.

After marriage, Priya completed her B.Ed, embracing her mother’s path as an educator while continuing her writing journey. Over the years, her thought-provoking articles such as “Stree Ko Ishwar Zaroori Kyu,” “Apne Hi Desh Mein Hindi Kyu Hai Heen Bhavana,” and “Nirvanikaran Ka Janjatiyon Par Prabhav” have been featured in various literary journals and magazines. Her poetry collection “Haashiye Ki Awaaz” gives voice to the unheard and unseen struggles of women and society. Her upcoming short story collection “Kasak Zindagi Ki Adhuri Daastaan” further highlights her sensitivity toward human emotions and social issues. Through her writings, Priya continues to advocate for empowerment, equality, and awareness.
