Radhikabai Meghe Memorial College of Nursing, DMIHER (Deemed to be University), Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha, Maharashtra, India. With 26 years of clinical and teaching experience, Ms. Moon has been a guiding light in nursing education for students, staff, and diploma holders alike.
She specialises in state, regional, national, international, and collaborative continuing nursing education initiatives, workshops, and conferences. Her concern is elevated quality in nursing education through mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and conducting research projects in the field of nursing care.
Apart from having her contributory role in the medical canon, Ms. Moon has played a very prominent role in several social welfare campaigns. She has actively organized and participated in a great number of social events for government school students and women, such as rights-awareness programs, education, and life skills development.
Ms. Moon is among the founders of the Addhar Mahila Nagari Sahakari Pat Sanstha, in Master Colony, Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha, a women-oriented cooperative society with a variety of Ph.D. holders and professionals in all areas of medicine, law, education, business, and homemakers. The institution focuses on women empowerment and financial independence.
Ms. Moon is also involved in Yoga as a volunteer, where she trains and cares for hypertensive patients; she teaches basic yoga practices to students and women while imparting life skills training for cancer and palliative care patients so that they may receive holistic healthcare support.
Ms. Moon is a proud member of several professional associations including TNAI (Trained Nurses Association of India), SOMI (Society of Midwives India), NRSI (Nursing Research Society of India), ISHA (Indian Speech and Hearing Association), and GINRAF (Global Indian Nurses Research & Academic Foundation). She is the first among her peers in the institute to have acquired the distinguished Elite + Gold Medal Certificate in the Swayam NPTEL course in Palliative Care, resulting in the offer of a six-week internship at the unique Community Oncology Centre (COC) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In addition to this, she has already bagged two very prestigious Star Awards from the NPTEL Team.
