She started her early schooling in the village where she was born in Chhattisgarh. She moved into a hostel after the sixth grade and lived there for almost eighteen years while she pursued higher education all over the nation. She gained insight into the significance of awareness and communication in health while working as a counselor for UNICEF's breastfeeding campaign after graduating. She later decided to focus her PhD on women's health awareness.She obtained a second Master's degree and a postgraduate diploma in guidance and counseling because she was eager to further her love of psychology and eventually became a counseling psychologist. In addition to actively promoting health awareness among women and children in rural areas, she uses her paintings and exhibitions to showcase her passion for the arts.

From childhood, Dr. Sudha dreamed of becoming an artist. She excelled in several degrees, but she chose to focus on her studies because of her family obligations. She never gave up on her childhood ambition, though, to teach herself to paint using books, YouTube tutorials, and practice. She developed her abilities over time, set up her own art studio, and planned two prosperous art shows. Her tale is one of perseverance, where passion returned in spite of all of life's obligations. She now serves as an inspiration to women who frequently sacrifice their dreams for their families or careers. A proud mother of a 7-year-old son and married to IAS officer Chandrakant Verma (2017 batch), she skillfully strikes a balance between her professional and personal lives.
