Pooja, a 22-year-old Kannur, Kerala, medical student, is on the unique journey where soul and science collide. She has a strong foundation in both tradition and change, having been born in a place renowned for its rich cultural legacy and courageous spirit. She is dedicated to becoming an expert in both because she feels that while medicine heals the body, compassion heals the soul. Her identity extends well beyond the hospital, even though her days are occupied with textbooks and stethoscopes.
With the blessings of her Guru, Pooja, a classically trained dancer, loves Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, and Bharatanatyam. She views dance as more than just a show; it is a form of prayer, an homage to her forefathers, and a close bond with her culture and identity. She has received training in Carnatic music in addition to dance, and she finds rhythm in melody and meaning as well as movement.
She enjoys reading, writing poetry, cooking, swimming, and other simple yet soulful activities that keep her grounded in addition to her artistic endeavors. But Pooja's emotional fortitude is what makes her unique. With a strong will and keen problem-solving abilities, she handles every circumstance with kindness, dignity, and grace, whether in her personal or professional life.
She keeps learning and developing every day, but she speaks the truth, moves with purpose, learns with humility, and leads with compassion. She will identify herself as a girl who "dances through storms, studies to serve, speaks to heal," if you ask her.
Story:
Pooja's path started in Kannur, Kerala, a politically conscious and culturally diverse district that influenced her as a person and as a student. She found early on that she was passionate about understanding people's deeper emotional and spiritual needs in addition to curing illnesses. Because of this dual calling, she pursued careers in medicine and the classical arts, which both helped her change.
She discovered how to balance discipline and expression through long days in the anatomy lab and elegant evenings in the dance hall. She learned poise, patience, and presence on stage. She learned strength, science, and service from medicine. She eventually realized that healing is layered rather than linear and that the needs of the heart are frequently just as crucial.
Aim:
In addition to treating illnesses, Pooja wants to become a kind doctor who respects people's feelings, histories, and lives. She hopes to apply the emotional intelligence and empathy she has gained via her art and life experiences to her clinical expertise. Her long-term goals include advocating for mental health, authenticity, and resilience in the medical community, advancing holistic health, and bridging the gap between conventional and modern medicine.
Educational qualification:
Pooja is devoted to both academic success and moral medical practice as she pursues her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
