The book highlights certain lesser-known events leading to the Transfer of Power in August 1947, emphasizing the vital roles of revolutionaries, political leaders, and international events in impressing upon India's freedom struggle.
This thoroughly documented work pays homage to the unsung revolutionaries, inquires into the background of Veer Savarkar's clemency plea, casts light on the birth of Partition, and examines the communal violence that ensued.
