*Lawyer. Tedx Speaker. Gender Expert and Trainer. Prison Reformer.* I hold an LLM in Access to Justice from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. I have worked for 3 years with the National Commission for Women, as a Legal Expert involved in review of laws, capacity building and gender sensitisation of police and other stakeholders. In addition been part of several national level inquiry committees wherever violation of women's rights has been recorded, and part of inspection teams visiting state institutions housing women. At present, Iam working with the Ministry of Home Affairs, assisting the Supreme Court Committee on Prison Reforms, responsible for the creation and development of survey and research tools, training of prison officials, with the overarching objective of formulating policy for prisons in India, aimed at law reform and suggesting measures for effective implementation. Through my association with various initiatives and organizations, I have been a strong advocate of women rights and empowerment, often voicing out my expert opinions on women's issues on various public platforms like radio, conferences, seminars, consultations and public events.
