Tincy Monnappa is a young aspiring artist in the field of Bharatanatyam. The first time that her feet danced to the beat of the ‘tala’ was at the age of five. Very passionate about dance, Tincy is a disciple of Guru Smt. Anuradha Vikranth, a reputed Bharathanatyam dancer and founder Director of ‘Drishti Art Centre'. Tincy is a graduate student from Presidency College, Bangalore. She is a very versatile and has distinguished herself particularly in art and literary activities. She has passed her Junior Dance Examination which was conducted by the board. Tincy at present works in Delhi Public School Bangalore North. Tincy is an ‘B’ graded artist of Doordarshan. Achievements • She was awarded by Deccan herald news in education student edition department for her interest in the field of dance. • She has also been recognized as young talent and was awarded as Kalakusuma in the field of Classical Dance (Bharatnatyam) recognized by government of Karnataka and Karnataka Samkrutika Academy. • She is been awarded as the best choreographer by Horlicks Wizkids by Krayons event. • She is a recipient of Wings Of Fire Award National Dance Festival in the memory of first anniversary of Late President Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. • She had the privilege to perform at the prestigious “Kalaaparva Dance Festival” 2019 ans was honored with the title, “kalaapravana”. • She was awarded for “Excellence in cultural activities (dance)” in Presidency College. Performances: Tincy has blossomed into a graceful and sensitive dancer. She has performed with her Guru at National and International events and has been an integral part of the dance productions of the Drishti Art Centre. She has won appreciation from artists, art lovers and media for her performances.
