I'm what I'm and what I wanted to be. Born and bred in Bhilai chattisgarh I am aluminus of MGM Medical College Indore MP. Always a topper with brilliant academic record I chose to serve the people of the state I got married into and thus joined HCMS. My husband had a private practice and rose to be Principal of Dental college. Blessed with two children who are well settled professionally and are great achievers giving me the honor of proud mother. As health expert my energy needed more dimensions and I joined Rotary to reach out to the community in field of education environment vocational sKiling health education and awareness and achieved several milestones. I have been an international champion in athletics won several awards for social service and contribution to women health and empowerment, best city garden Best Rotarian ,five avenues of service ,hellen Keller award. International women's day award publication and presentation in national and international conference. My passion is to reach out to people in need and spread smiles to make world a better place. Regular practice of yoga and meditation keeps me grounded and fit to move on. Covid pandemic is one of the challenges which has made me stronger and bolder for future. My hobbies include cooking dance painting travel and I continue to pursue them. Job profile Dr Rita kalra is head of department of Hospital administration at Civil Hospital Panchkula. As Quality administrator she has played a key role in accreditation of hospital for NQAS NABL Kayakalp Laqshay as per benchmarks defined by Quality Council of India. She heads the HR of about 1000 employees of 300 bedded hospital in various categories of Regular contractual and outsourcing schemes. Eupchar for computerisation of hospital records has improved reporting and record keeping under her leadership. Infrastructure maintenance ,an ongoing process for upkeep and quality care of patients is supervised by her . After pandemic was declared By WHO she had the key role in setting up Total eight indoor wards with 165 beds out of 350beds dedicated for covid patients in Civil hospital panchkula Average daily OPD of Covid 350 average daily indoor 140 Average daily iCU admissions 14 death rate 0.3 %,Total OPD 17597 and IPD 1755 and total Positive 7000 Separate Flu OPD ,screening of patients, migrants, travellers and sample collection unit Nodal officer for setting up ICU during Lock down and it's operationalisation ,Organising diet for all patients through donations from NGO, providing 6 daily meals for Covid patients Setting Molecular lab for inhouse Rapid test of Swabs 12 bedded covid ICU under expansion and HVAC for hospital has been revised as per guidelines Plasma Extraction setup in blood bank Hand wash station and sampling kiosk has been installed for strengthening Infection control practice in Hospital with Rotary Chandigarh Midtown Regular rounds in Covid positive and suspect wards, counselling of patients and staff meeting on phone/zoom calls for diet,hygiene,yoga,records,store management etc. She has been multitasking and managing time efficiently. Her regular yoga and meditation session strengthens her soul to fight stress and anxiety. She finds time for community connect through Rotary also.
